The Gertrude Street Projection Festival

The Gertrude Street Projection Festival

One of our favourite things about Gertrude Street is how it comes alive again as the sun goes down.

The twinkly lights at Enoteca, the cosy atmosphere across the road at Belle's Diner...

And tonight the whole street will be buzzing... literally, for the opening of the Gertrude Street Projection Festival!

The commission flats will be lit up, Aesop is showing an animation, Pickings and Parry will no doubt do something super cool along with E.S.S, Tarlo and Graham, Miss Gertrude and countless

others. What will happen at Rose Chong Costumiers is anyone's guess! We hear it's worth getting lost down some back streets too.

Our good friend Ben Brett has sent us some funny little characters to light up our walls. ( This picture is just a snippet..you will have to walk past to see it in action )

So rug up in your winter best and hit the street for a little bit of Melbourne magic.

Let's hope someone's serving takeaway hot toddies.

Starts tonight 6pm-midnight, and then every night until 28 July.
